Franklin County names food pantry building

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors gave a new name to the old Hampton Gospel Hall building during its meeting on Monday, March 30.
     After approving a lease agreement to allow the use of the building by the food pantry, the board members brainstormed an official name for the county’s new building, eventually settling on “Franklin County Service Center.”
     The supervisors also approved an agreement with the Franklin County Farmers Market to set up in the east parking lot of the courthouse during Tuesday and Friday evenings.
