Franklin County Democrats meet primary candidates

Franklin County's Democrats gathered at Mayne's Grove on Monday, Sept. 25 for a meet-and-greet with some of the prospective candidates for the 2018 elections.
Starting the meeting with a potluck dinner, the area Democrats socialized before getting to business.
Opening up the meeting was state Sen. Amanda Ragan, who thanked the three county chairs attending for their continued support and emphasized the need to rally for the 2018 elections.
"We thought that last November was a nightmare, but this last session was the real nightmare," said Ragan. "The cuts that happened last year, we're still feeling them. And this year we're going to feel them even more."
