Former Geneva school auditorium hit by vandals

     Volunteers with Geneva Community Betterment (GCB) were treated to a disappointing surprise last weekend at the old school auditorium.
     Broken glass caused by vandals sprinkled the building’s floor when GCB members entered Sunday to prepare for their upcoming fundraising event. Windows, light fixtures and other items were all destroyed in the mayhem, which came as a surprise to GCB Vice President Tonya Sanders.
     “The worst part is that the few things that we salvaged from the building are now destroyed,” she said. “Some of the history we wanted to preserve and display is now gone.”
