Errors get best of Bulldogs

HAMPTON -- Should Hampton-Dumont’s softball team get another opportunity to play Humboldt, Bulldogs’ head coach Kelsey Enslin hopes that the errors in the scorebook, as well as the mental errors won’t get the best of her team like they did on Monday, June 25.
She had high hopes for the team after playing them close on the road earlier this season, but an eight-run second inning, complete with four of their five errors and some mental miscues, had the Bulldogs on their heels thereafter.
Humboldt was all about contact with the ball: all but two of the Wildcats’ outs recorded were strikeouts and both were pinch hitters in the latter innings...
