End of an era for CAL sports

MASON CITY – CAL baseball coach Ralph Bell has never been one to mince words.
He described the feeling for everyone involved with the Cadet baseball program after a 15-0, four-inning Class 1A District 4 loss to Northwood-Kensett on Tuesday, July 10.
“It sucks,” Bell said. “It sucks to end our program like that after the year we had. We had some rough games here and there, but I never envisioned it ending like this. I thought this was going to be a great game, everyone seemed pumped at batting practice today..."
