Eleanor Joan Hanna, 88

Eleanor Joan Hanna, 88, of Iowa Falls, formerly of Clarion, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 14, 2023, at Hampton Church of Christ. Public visitation will take place prior to the service at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home of Hampton is caring for Eleanor and her family.

Eleanor Joan Kieslich was born November 13, 1934, to parents Elmer and Bernice (Young) Kieslich. She was united in marriage to Lyle Hanna on January 21, 1953. To this union six children were born: David, Darwin, Donnie, Douglas, Diane and Denise.

When she wasn't caring for her family, Jo would help Lyle with the work in their salvage yard. She enjoyed crocheting in her free time. Oftentimes you could find her sitting down to watch TV, specifically old Westerns and NCIS. She also enjoyed fishing, most recently in the Iowa River.

Left to cherish Jo's memory include her children: David Hanna, (Karen) Hanna, Donnie (Barb) Hanna, Douglas Hanna, Diane (Tom) Vanderpool, and Denise Sloan; sister Karen Wood and her significant other Jim Card; and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle, her parents, son Darwin Hanna, 4 brothers and 3 sisters, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren.
