Dumont preps for Sandbaggin’ Days this weekend

    Seven months of planning and preparation will culminate with two fun-filled days in Dumont this weekend during the town’s annual celebration.
    Dumont Sandbaggin’ Days kick off Friday with city-wide garage sales and the Unhinged Sidewalk Sale. A beer garden will open at 7 p.m. with the first-ever Dumont Glow 5K Run/Walk to follow at 9:30 p.m. The event will be held at the athletic field and already has more than 120 registered participants.
    If you didn’t sign up early, you can still register the night of the event.
    “We usually do the 5K in the morning, but it’s been kind of slow the last couple of years,” said Brittany Gronewold, Sandbaggin’ Days organizer. “We thought the glow run might give it a little boost.”
