Dr. Semler passes practice to Wood Vision Clinic

     After four decades of staring into the eyes of Hampton area patients, optometrist Dr. Craig Semler is finally ready to start taking it easy. As of August 1, Semler has turned over his optometry practice to Drs. Jarod and Amanda Wood of Iowa Falls.
     The Woods own Wood Vision Clinic in Iowa Falls and Parkersburg and are now bringing Semler's practice into their fold. While this may mean a big change for Semler, he says that the new ownership should have a minimal effect on his patients.
     "Their philosophy is a lot like mine, so from that standpoint I don't think there are going to be many changes," said Semler. "I think it's going to be a well-oiled machine."
     Right now the eye exam duties are being divided among the Woods and their associates, however Semler says that it's their intention to bring in a permanent optometrist that will reside in Hampton.
