Dr. Richard Flickinger inducted into Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame

The late Dr. Richard Flickinger of Franklin County was inducted into the 2014 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame during a ceremony in the 4-H Exhibits Building at the Iowa State Fair on Sunday, Aug. 17.

 

Eighty-two counties participated this year and 110 inductees were recognized for their outstanding service and dedication to 4-H. Inductees or their surviving family members were presented a certificate by the Iowa 4-H Foundation as they were introduced on stage and honored at a reception that followed the ceremony.

 

Dr. Richard Flickinger was a veterinarian in Franklin County for more than 30 years.
