Hampton physician Dr. David Dennis will hang up his stethoscope for the final time Sept. 30 after 38 years of service to Franklin County and the surrounding area.

Dennis, a native of Denison, spent his entire medical career in Hampton. He started at the Franklin Medical Center (currently Public Health) in 1976 and moved into Franklin General Hospital (FGH) 20 years later.
