Now officially elected, Franklin County Sheriff Aaron Dodd.
Dodd, who was appointed to the position in May following the death of then-sheriff Linn Larson, was formally elected as Franklin County Sheriff in last Tuesday’s midterm election.
Dodd, who came to the department as a sheriff’s deputy in 2003, said he’s humbled by the support he’s received since his appointment and through the election and excited for the chance to follow in Larson’s footsteps.
“Since day one, everyone in the department and everyone in law enforcement has always been supportive,” he said. “That made the difficulty of Linn’s loss easier because there wasn’t any kind of kick back that would’ve kept bringing up the pain and the loss of him. It’s encouraging when you have everyone behind you.”
