Two Democratic candidates for Iowa Governor came to the Franklin County area last week to campaign and communicate with Iowans about issues facing the governor’s election in 2018.
Fred Hubbell, 66, former CEO of Equitable Life Insurance Company and a well-known Des Moines philanthropist and prolific Democratic donor, stopped by Ellsworth Community College to tour the college’s Equine program, and speak with students in the UAV (Unmanned aerial vehicle) course.
Candidate John Norris stopped by the Rustic Brew, Hampton, on October 25, and gave a 10-minute interview to the Hampton Chronicle about his opinions on issues facing the state (answers have been edited for clarity).
