WEST UNION - North Fayette Valley, the defending state champion in Class 2A, used its strength to take away Hampton-Dumont's strong points in handing the Bulldogs a 52-28 loss in the second round of the 2A state playoffs on Monday, Nov. 2.
H-D, primarily a run team, couldn't get the run game started against the TigerHawk tackles, forcing coach Jerry Shafrath's team to pass.
The Bulldogs were able to pass, but came up short against what was an unstoppable run game for the home team.
