Countdown to caucus

     Local officials aren’t exactly sure how many Franklin County voters will turn out during the 2016 Iowa Caucus, but they’re expecting quite a crowd.
     “We’re anticipating a big turnout because there’s a long lineup of well-qualified, excellent candidates,” said Karen Zander, Franklin County GOP Chair. “And everybody wants their candidate to be president.”
     Despite a shorter list of Democratic presidential candidates, Franklin County Chair John Colombo expected high turnout rates similar to the 2008 Iowa Caucus.
