National Library Week seemed like an appropriate time to show what the Coulter Public Library can offer area children.
The library celebrated National Library week with a number of events, including story time at CAL and St. Paul’s Lutheran School, a community coffee and activities at the library.
“We’ve been getting things ready for the summer reading program, so we’ve been trying to think of ways to connect the kids and the school with the library,” said Anna Dunnwald, Coulter Library Board member.
Dunnwald added that the week was also a chance to show improvements the library has made to the children’s area. Through community grants, the library has been able create a more open space for the area, as well as add new flooring, shelving and paint.
“We just created a little bit more of a special area for the kids,” she said.
