Cougars seize homecoming victory on last-second FG

ACKLEY – Battered and bruised, the AGWSR football team nonetheless battled to a 45-44 homecoming victory over Turkey Valley last Friday night in a finish that left the fans in Ackley breathless.
AGWSR scored 16 unanswered points over the final 13 minutes of the game, capped by a 24-yard field goal from Luca Fieback with just seconds remaining.
“Coach (James) Koop was saying to compete every play no matter what happens,” AGWSR quarterback Aaron Roelfs said, “and we stuck together as a team and finished as a team.”
