Zach Clemens joined Mid-America Publishing this week as a regional news editor for the Hampton Chronicle, Sheffield Press and Pioneer Enterprise.
He recently finished his time at Iowa State University with majors in Journalism and History. He is a Colorado transplant and has been married for three years to his wife, Megan.
“I’m really looking forward to getting to know the residents and communities here,” he said. “Growing up in a small town, I always enjoyed reading the local paper. I look forward to providing that coverage to people here.”
At Iowa State, Clemens mainly reported on student government and other events around campus for the Iowa State Daily.
“Zach brings with him a passion to be successful, a desire to produce high-quality work, and an ambitious nature,” said Ryan Harvey, president and CEO of Mid-America Publishing. “I am thrilled to add him to the Mid-America family. I believe he’ll do a phenomenal job for our readers.”
Clemens said he is excited to start providing quality news coverage to the community. He will spend the majority of his time in rural Franklin County and southern Cerro Gordo County covering stories for the Sheffield Press and Pioneer Enterprise.
In his free time, Clemens enjoys fishing and rooting for the Denver Broncos.
