Political dynamic an interesting one
As we enter week two of the major party political conventions in the United States, the opportunity to hear the differences – or lack thereof in some cases – is an interesting one.
At the national level, which we rarely discuss, we see the Republicans painting a picture of being “the outsiders” with their nominee in New York business tycoon Donald Trump against the “the Washington insider” in former First Lady and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
However, either candidate clearly has their flaws.
Trump, with his non-political, borderline obnoxious rhetoric, against Clinton’s constant issues with private server emails, possible money issues with the Clinton Foundation, her apparent inability to connect with the local voters, and now the potential fall out of DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz being forced to resign after emails about Clinton’s Democratic challenger Bernie Sanders came to light on the eve of the convention.
The political campaigns will be interesting ones as we move towards November. With the current environment on both sides, many may want to just duck and ask when the elections are over in order to avoid being caught in the forthcoming political crossfire.
