New column: Chamber Chat

     The Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce is excited to have a new section in the Hampton Chronicle and Sheffield Press. You will see Chamber Chat every other week in the paper.

     This will keep you posted on any chamber events and let you know what is going on at the chamber. You may not know, but the chamber is very busy all of the time. If we aren’t planning an event, we are in the middle of an event and at the same time we’re supporting and promoting our chamber members’ events.

     We are also trying to find new and improved ways to support and promote our chamber members! Yes, it’s just that crazy here, but we love it!

     The chamber has many ways we promote chamber member events. The chamber offers a weekly e-newsletter titled, Chamber Tuesday Newsday. The Chamber Tuesday Newsday is sent out to almost 500 people and it features what is going on at the chamber as well as chamber member events. If you’re not already receiving the Chamber Tuesday Newsday, please call the office at 456-5668.

     We have table tents. You may have seen these colorful tri-fold table tent calendars in area businesses. We currently print over 400 table tents and deliver them all over Franklin County! Just another way we promote our chamber business events! We also have Facebook.

     Facebook has been a wonderful way to communicate with the public, by reaching out, networking and, of course, promoting more events. We have two Facebook pages: Hampton Iowa and Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. Between the two pages we currently have 4,704 followers and the numbers go up daily. Make sure to “Like” our pages if you haven’t done so already!

     Another way we promote our members is through our magnificent digital sign in Band Shell Park. This keeps everyone up to date on community events; even those traveling through Hampton.

     Last, but not least, we have our website www.HamptonIowa.org. Currently our website is getting updated and will have many options for our chamber members to help promote any hot deals, post their own events to our community calendar and offer member-to-member deals.

     Finally, new and hot off the press, we are adding another outlet of communicating with you through Chamber Chat in the Hampton Chronicle and Sheffield Press. We hope this keeps you posted on chamber events and happenings in your community!
