A recent survey shared on the Chamber of Greater Franklin County Chamber’s Facebook page yielded the result of “shoe store” as the highest desired retail outlet in Hampton (43 votes). The next top two were Christian Book Store and antique shop.
Chamber Director Newton Grotzinger said that the survey got approximately 140 responses, which was a good response rate, for it being the first time the chamber did something of its nature.
“It went over real well, “ Grotzinger said. “We haven’t done it before; it was new and fun and we may do more stuff like that and get new ideas for the future.”
Though Grotzinger said the survey wasn’t very “scientific” in gathering data, it gained about the same number of responses as the chamber’s market surveys (approximately 100).
