SHEFFIELD – The academic choice for West Fork’s Jacqlyn Caspers was Kent State University in Ohio.
The Warhawk middle hitter signed her national letter of intent to play volleyball at the Division I school on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the Wharf in Sheffield with family surrounding her.
But when asked why Kent State, Caspers' first words out of her mouth were because of the school's pre-med program.
“I love the girls, the school, they are a great school for academics,” Caspers said. “I can become a factor there and I’ll be able to play volleyball.”
