CAL struggles without injured starter

LATIMER – It is hard to imagine how one player can make an impact on a team, but it was also evident from the start that the CAL girls’ basketball team has been missing junior starter Stephanie Thielen.
Playing in a non-conference contest against Belmond-Klemme, the Cadets were unable to connect on a basket until the second half in a 62-18 loss to the Broncos on Monday, Jan. 18.
