CAL opens with win despite shooting woes

CLARKSVILLE – For quite some time, both CAL and Clarksville’s boys basketball team had to be wondering if there really was a lid on the basket.

Clarksville went scoreless for nearly 16 minutes, not converting at all in the second quarter, as the Cadets opened with a 49-20 road win on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

“We played a pretty good team (Rockford) Monday night and we played really well,” Clarksville coach Ethan Lensch said. “We came in against a team I thought we could contend with and get a win, down four and then at the end of the second quarter we still have seven on the board...."
