CAL earns split with Riceville

LATIMER – CAL’s softball team swapped 9-7 scores with Riceville in a doubleheader at Latimer’s softball park on Wednesday, June 15.
The Cadets claimed the opener, a continuation of a game halted by rain and lightning earlier this season as the Wildcats came back to take the second game by the same score.
It was a bizarre end to the finale in which Emily Quinones was deemed to have not tagged up at first to complete a double play of a ball awkwardly caught by Riceville’s shortstop.
