Families of CAL students will have fewer fees to pay come next academic year, as the Board of Education voted to remove four student fees on the fee schedule at its meeting on June 12.
Such fee removals include: the student fee, the athletic fee, music lab fee and the elimination of the Pre-K enrollment fee, totaling over $100, depending on student level of activity.
Rounding out the largest fee is the student activity fee, which cost $40 for students K-5, and $50 for 6-12. These fees covered costs for technology, textbooks, etc. The district will now absorb these costs.
