Cadets drop close match at Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE – The CAL/H-D/B-K boys’ soccer team played Clear Lake to the limit, falling in a close 5-4 match to open the season on Thursday, April 12 on the road.
Sam Pedelty scored four of the Lions’ five goals, most of which were unassisted. In fact, the lone assist for the home team was credited to Landon Lovstad.
Not included in the print edition due to deadline, two goals for the Cadets were scored by Pedro Castillo and one each by Ali Ergul and Cesar Hernandez. Two assists were credited to Humberto Sanchez and one each by Castillo and Hernandez.
Freshman goalkeeper Elias Cortez made six saves.
