HAMPTON – Everything about Wednesday’s North Central Conference baseball game was efficient.

Moved up to a 5:30 p.m. start because of impending weather, Hampton-Dumont moved at a fast pace – taking less than an hour and a half altogether – to defeat Iowa Falls-Alden 1-0.

Cole Miller threw a one-hitter and drove in the only run on a sacrifice fly in the third inning as the Bulldogs improved to 8-8 overall, 3-5 in the NCC.
