HAMPTON – Hampton-Dumont’s boys’ basketball team came to play with energy, but somehow lost it during the halftime break in an eventual 57-28 loss at home against Humboldt.
The Bulldogs trailed just 21-18 at half, but were outscored 36-10 in the final 16 minutes in falling to 1-17 on the season, 0-12 in the North Central Conference on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
“We’ve had some rough games, start to finish the last week,” H-D coach Heath Walton said. “And I was glad to see that we came out and were looking to compete in the first half. I loved the way we started the game; we struggled to score, we only scored 18 in the first half.”
