HAMPTON – Fulfilling a dream come true, the Hampton-Dumont football team capped off the regular season by heading to compete in play-off football near the Field of Dreams.

Announced late after the Bulldogs completed a 28-0 shut-out of non-district rival Clarion-Goldfield last Friday night, H-D will play Dyersville Beckman in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs.

The game will be today (Wednesday) at Dyersville. The Blazers play on an artificial turf.

“I think it’s a really big deal going to the playoffs,” H-D running back Isaiah Noelck said. “We’ve been working really hard, since last year – we’ve been hitting the weights pretty hard and everybody has been working really hard to get in."
