Bulldogs take third at NB tourney

ALLISON — In an opener worthy of the title game, the Bulldog softball team took their only tournament loss of the day against Class 1A No. 3 Clarksville — one of only two unbeaten teams left in the state.
The Bulldogs lost a 1-0 tournament starter against the Indians, who improved to 18-0 after winning the title 6-0 over the host school.
Janet Borchardt’s RBI single that hit the top of the fence to score Cheyenne Behrends, who led off the inning with a single and went to second when catcher Ainsley Lovrien walked.
