HAMPTON – No matter that one was by rout and the other by a one-run margin, the Bulldogs baseball team pulled out a doubleheader sweep of Clarion-Goldfield on Monday, July 7 at home.

Due to rain-outs throughout the season, the rare doubleheader was played at Hampton with both teams trading home-and-away spots on the scoreboard with Hampton-Dumont winning the opener 15-2 in seven and then scored a run in the sixth inning to take an 8-7 win in the nightcap.

The wins solidified H-D’s spot for fifth in an ever-competitive North Central Conference.
