Bulldogs place 10 on first team 2A district 2 football squad

HAMPTON – Reaping the rewards for the Class 2A District 2 runner-up finish, the Hampton-Dumont football team placed a player in every single position save one in the first team voting, announced recently.

Bulldogs who landed on the first team offense included senior quarterback Cole Miller, junior running back Isaiah Noelck, senior tight end Parker Claypool, senior wide receiver Charlie Flickinger and senior offensive lineman Mario Peña.

Defensive first teamers for coach Jerry Shafrath’s team, which finished 5-1 in the district, 10-2 overall, were junior defensive lineman Josh Knipfel, senior outside linebacker/defensive end Brady Claypool, senior inside linebacker Kendrick Suntken, senior defensive back Trevor Eiklenborg and junior kicker Bailey Miller.
