Bulldogs overcome Clear Lake battery

HAMPTON – Clear Lake threw all but the kitchen sink at the Bulldog softball team, but the home team prevailed in a 12-5 North Central Conference victory on Friday, June 14.
Four different Lions pitchers faced the Bulldog lineup and none were very effective as coach Kelsey Enslin’s squad combined for 16 hits, including three home runs, with back-to-back jacks in the opening inning by Paige Springer and Triston Rew.
 “I kind of looked at their stats before and I thought they had three girls with equal pitching,” Enslin said. “And then I said to the girls, ‘this is why.’"
