Bulldogs out-rebounded; miss key FTs, shots in loss to Lions

HAMPTON – While being out-rebounded 43-25 and going 17-of-27 at the free throw line in the second half, the Hampton-Dumont boys’ basketball team’s spirited rally was thwarted against Clear Lake.
The result was a 66-60 win for the Lions on Tuesday, Jan. 19 as the Bulldogs fell to 5-6 overall, 3-5 in the North Central Conference.
“I want to address the fact that we had only eight rebounds at half,” H-D coach Heath Walton said. “We had seven defensive rebounds is all in the first half and we only ended with 25 (rebounds)..."
