GILBERT – For the second straight year, Hampton-Dumont was unable to advance a runner to the state cross country meet to be held at Fort Dodge.

The Bulldog girls’ top finisher was Jordan Prantner, who placed 25th overall in 17 minutes, 23.50 seconds to pace H-D with a 10th-place team finish.

“The girls ran very well with three season bests,” H-D coach Steve Huling said. “Jordan Prantner had her best race since midway through the season and freshman Katie Peterson cracked 20 minutes for the first time.”

The top 10 individuals and top three teams qualify for state.
