Bulldogs go from OT loss to a dominant win over FDSE

HAMPTON – What a difference a few days make.
Hampton-Dumont’s boys basketball team suffered a road overtime loss to Fort Dodge St. Edmond on Friday, Feb. 6 and then turned around to play them again on Monday, Feb. 9 in which the Bulldogs got out to a quick start and trailed very little in an eventual 52-43 win over the Gaels.
The game was rescheduled from Jan. 9 because of winter weather.
“I don’t know what the difference way other than we ran things a little better,” H-D head coach Heath Walton said. “Especially defensively, I felt like there was more focus and that, I think, helped because early on we rebounded a bunch of misses, gave up a bunch of put-backs...."
