CLARION – Much like it did during the final regular season home match, Hampton-Dumont took the first set off of North Central Conference foe Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, only to see the Cowgirls take the next three.
Tara Krull started out with seven of her team-high 11 kills in the opener in the 25-22, 12-25, 16-25, 15-25 loss at Clarion.
The Bulldogs end the season with a 13-19 record under first-year head coach Kelli Showalter.
After the strong start, the hitting combination for C-G-D, Holly Nerem and Morgan Middleton proved to be hard to stop as they finished with 18 and 16 kills, respectively.
