Bulldogs end NCC slide

HAMPTON – Needing it in the worst way, Hampton-Dumont’s baseball team got a boost with a 7-5 North Central Conference win over Clarion-Goldfield on Monday, June 29.
However, much like everything that has come the Bulldogs’ way lately, this one didn’t come easy.
Early on, it appeared easier as H-D built a 7-0 lead during the first five innings behind starter Charlie Flickinger.
“He was over 100 pitches, I didn’t want to overwork him,” H-D head coach Matt Lokenvitz said of pulling Flickinger after he gave up a three-run homer to Trenton Sann.....
