Bulldogs eliminated from post-season by D-NH again

PARKERSBURG – The setting was similar, some parts were different but the result was the same.

Dike-New Hartford sent Hampton-Dumont’s baseball team home from the post-season for the second straight year with a 4-2 win in the district semifinal on Tuesday, July 15.

This time, however, the Bulldogs weren’t always ahead like they had been against the Wolverines in 2013.

Coach Matt Lokenvitz’s squad did hold a slim 1-0 advantage for an inning and a half, but then D-NH kept pulling ahead.

“The only difference was that we were playing from behind this time,” Lokenvitz said....
