Bulldogs drop Class 3A regional opener at Humboldt

HUMBOLDT – With the way the Hampton-Dumont softball team had been playing, none of the Bulldogs were expecting their season to end early.

But after getting the first run in the Class 3A regional softball opener at Humboldt against the hosts, the Wildcats had other plans in rapping out four hits in the fifth off of starting pitcher Ashlyn Hansen to take a 4-1 lead in an eventual 6-1 win over H-D on Tuesday, July 8.
