IOWA FALLS – Little went wrong for the highly-touted Hampton-Dumont Bulldog football team in a 44-0 road shellacking of Iowa Falls-Alden in the team’s season opener.

Coach Jerry Shafrath’s squad out-gained the Cadets 507 to 72 offensively after rolling up 333 yards in the first half alone.

“We had a real good night and we got off to a good start,” understated Shafrath, “we played a lot of kids on both sides of the ball, offensively and defensively, subbing in and out.”

All of the preparation in the off-season and having three-year starters in the line-up have put H-D in this position.
