WATERLOO – Coach Jerry Shafrath saying that his Hampton-Dumont Bulldogs had a good night was an understatement.

H-D did everything well against Waterloo Columbus on Friday, Sept. 20 in an eventual 47-20 win over the Sailors.

The Bulldogs rolled up 543 yards of offense – 425 on the ground in steamrolling the competition to improve to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the Class 2A, District 3.

“We had a good night,” Shafrath said. “The defense played really well. It was a good game for us; it wasn't a clean game, we had some penalties and some assignments we missed, so we need to continue to shore that up.”
