Bucking tradition: West Fork’s Moore chooses to play football

SHEFFIELD – New looks are all around for West Fork football this season.

The Warhawks have a new head coach in Eric Gabe, a foreign exchange student who will handle kicking responsibilities and a freshman female joining the squad.

Lauren Moore, 14, looks to play tight end and inside linebacker on the Warhawk junior varsity to start.

“I started out with flag football when I was younger and then in fifth grade I decided to do tackle and I really liked it,” Moore said....
