CLARION – The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows/CAL varsity football team showed what its offense is capable of this year on Friday, Aug. 26 in the home-opener with a 50-27 win over Belmond-Klemme.
All toll, the Cowboys finished with four scores on the ground and three more through the air in a dominating performance.
A nice drive early culminated in a one-yard touchdown run by Nathan Rapp at the 8 minute, 42 second mark of the quarter. The PAT try by Avery Harrington was no good for a 6-0 lead.
