Board approves 28E agreement for Sheffield bridge project

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors voted to move ahead with a bridge replacement project in Sheffield during their regular meeting on Monday.

     The board approved resolutions 2014-13 and 2014-14, which establish a 28E Agreement with Franklin County and the City of Sheffield to replace the Grant Street bridge over Bailey Creek. The project will be added to the county's five-year construction program with the Department of Transportation.

     Earl Hill, Chairman of the Bicycle, Blues, and Barbeque ride out of Clear Lake, asked for approval of this year's route through Franklin County.
