Beed's Lake swimming warning issued

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is recommending no swimming take place in Beed's Lake until further notice due to elevated E. coli levels, it announced Thursday.  The measurements for the water reading in question were taken on June 22 and were in the "yellow" or "caution" category of the organization's assessment levels.
The DNR will repeate testing and announce when they recommend swimming can be reinstated.
