Bearcats shake off scrappy AGWSR

GREENE – The start of the first set in this non-conference volleyball match was no indication to the fight North Butler would get from AGWSR on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
Nine Cougar hitting errors and a service error in the first 15 points of the opener had the Bearcats in command with a 13-2 lead in an eventual 3-1 match win for first-year coach Laura Schwickerath.
After that initial start, AGWSR showed some fight, actually taking leads of three or more in the final three sets before North Butler came back in two of the three in the 25-8, 25-23, 18-25, 25-22 Bearcat win.
