Balanced Cougars roll by G-R girls

ACKLEY – Seven different AGWSR players scored and virtually all 14 players who entered the game contributed in some way to the Cougars’ 62-27 win over Gladbrook-Reinbeck on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
Mandy Willems led a quartet in double-digit scoring with 16 points as coach Laurie Gann’s team improved to 3-0, 2-0 in the NICL West Conference.
With some of her future NIACC teammates as well as Trojan head coach Todd Ciochetto in attendance, Willems provided a double-double with 12 rebounds and completed her line with five assists, five steals and a pair of blocked shots.
