HAMPTON – Wednesday afternoon’s start wasn’t the best for Hampton-Dumont’s Bailey Miller.

Making his fourth start on the mound, the Bulldog sophomore went on to improve to 2-2 after more than making up for the rocky start.

In the first inning, he gave up two hits and hit two batters with pitches as Algona Garrigan took an early 1-0 lead. After that, however, he struck out 11, yielding two hits the rest of the way in H-D’s 5-1 win over the Golden Bears.
