Coulter hopes future tree plantings will ease blow after invasive beetle arrives
 
     Volunteers in Coulter are preparing to move forward with Phase 2 of the city’s longterm reforestation plan.
     City Forester Lon Allan and his wife, Linda, are awaiting news regarding the status of a grant application that was submitted last year. If Coulter is awarded the grant, officials intend to use the money on another round of tree plantings throughout town.
     Last September, 25 new trees were planted thanks to a $2,300 grant from the Branching Out program sponsored by Alliant Energy and Trees Forever.
